Set Yourself Free
Father is always with us, She never stops reaching out to us, loving us, guiding us. The reason we feel distant from Her is because of … US. We are our own worst enemy.
“Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you. Therefore, we may boldly say: The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:5-6
We all know right from wrong whether we were taught the difference or know it intuitively. Those who strive to do the right thing can really beat themselves and remain in the pain and shame of having done something wrong. If we can’t forgive ourselves we’ll never be able to get up and keep walking toward Father’s outstretched arms. If we asked and received Father’s forgiveness than why do we still not forgive ourselves?
Not a single life here on Earth goes without some kind of conflict or periods of time when we are overwhelmed or in a fog. During those times, some people think that Father isn’t there but that’s very far from the truth.
“Those who know Your name trust in You because You have not abandoned those who seek You, LORD.” Psalm 9:10
Since Father is there with us yet we aren’t feeling Her love or hearing Her guidance or feeling Her mercy, then it stands to reason that WE, in fact, are the ones who are closing the door of our heart, and not seeing clearly through the fog because OUR vision has changed.
"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful.” John 14:27
During times like this it is helpful to examine your mind. If anything seems amiss, try writing it down. If there is anything you feel led to do to repair it, then do so and pray that Father take care of the rest. If it is completely out of your control, as most things are, then close your eyes and put the person or things in your hand. Raise your hands up until you meet the hands of Father and gently place them in Her care. Know that we lack the wisdom or omniscience to do what’s best in that situation. Know that we are powerless and give all the glory and trust to Father to work it out. Believe me, She wants to help and be leaned on. Afterwards just relax and know that it’s being worked on by the best One for the job and if the time comes that you need to do anything else, you will be led to do Father’s will. In the meantime, relax, bask in the joy and love of Father and whatever you do - don’t take it back. It’s not for you to handle. Focus on all the positives around you instead. Stand firm on your faith and hear Father speak to you “It’s ok, I have it taken care of and I love you. Rest in me and enjoy.”
“Don't worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise—dwell on these things. Do what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you. I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last you have renewed your care for me. You were, in fact, concerned about me, but lacked the opportunity [to show it]. I don't say this out of need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know both how to have a little, and I know how to have a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret [of being content]—whether well-fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need. I am able to do all things through Him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:4-13
“A thief comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and have it in abundance.” John 10:10
“For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God's gift” Ephesians 2:8
I envision someone fallen on a path where all they can see is a dark fog ahead of them. What they can’t see is the ray of light on the other side. They are heartbroken and can’t seem to pick themselves up out of their negative emotions. What if they continued to pray and have faith? When we don’t know what lies ahead or how something could possibly work out and get better, Father always knows exactly what to do about it. Father is waiting for that person to lay it all in Her hands and blindly follow in unwavering faith. I envision that person getting to their feet using the strength from Father and walking straight ahead - even though they can’t see. I see them praying fervently for guidance to continue and being open and perceptive about the instructions and love that Father has for them. As they walk, their heart tells them they are still on the path and it’s going to be ok. Every step closer to Father is an affirmation that they are loved, that they are protected, that they are guided. Each step closer to reaching for Father brings a deeper loving relationship than the previous step. More and more strength is felt and their heart opens up completely to be blessed as Father pours the fruits of the spirit into their heart so much that it begins to be overflowing. Before they know it they are standing in the sunlight and have left the fog behind them.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, Or faithfulness gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22
“Abundant peace belongs to those who love Your instruction; nothing makes them stumble” Psalm 119:165
For even more comfort, let me close with some more of my favorite scriptures…
“The LORD is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack. He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He renews my life; He leads me along the right paths for His name's sake. Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear [no] danger, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff — they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Only goodness and faithful love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD as long as I live.” Psalm 23
“The one who lives under the protection of the Most High dwells in the shadow of the almighty. I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." He Himself will deliver you from the hunter's net, from the destructive plague. He will cover you with His feathers; you will take refuge under His wings. His faithfulness will be a protective shield. You will not fear the terror of the night, the arrow that flies by day, the plague that stalks in darkness, or the pestilence that ravages at noon. Though a thousand fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, the pestilence will not reach you. You will only see it with your eyes and witness the punishment of the wicked. Because you have made the LORD— my refuge, the Most High—your dwelling place, no harm will come to you; no plague will come near your tent. For He will give His angels orders concerning you, to protect you in all your ways. They will support you with their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the young lion and the serpent. Because he is lovingly devoted to Me, I will deliver him; I will exalt him because he knows My name. When he calls out to Me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will rescue him and give him honor. I will satisfy him with a long life and show him My salvation.” Psalms 91
"This is why I tell you: Don't worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the sky: they don't sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you worth more than they? Can any of you add a single cubit to his height by worrying? And why do you worry about clothes? Learn how the wildflowers of the field grow: they don't labor or spin thread. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was adorned like one of these! If that's how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and thrown into the furnace tomorrow, won't He do much more for you—you of little faith? So don't worry, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear?' For the idolaters eagerly seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you. Therefore don't worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6
“Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you. Therefore, we may boldly say: The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:5-6

All Roads Do Not Lead to God
2 Timothy 4:3 “For a time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will accumulate teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear something new.”
In today’s society, where political correctness has replaced truth, the myth of all religions leading to God has become more and more acceptable. In fact, if you suggest otherwise it actually makes people angry. As pointed out in the above scripture, many people simply will not tolerate it. But the truth of the matter is that this is a myth. If all religions led to God, it wouldn’t have been written at Matthew 7:14, How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it.”
In the book of Exodus, Moses played an integral part in freeing the Jews from slavery from the Egyptians, who worshiped other gods. So, logically speaking, if every religion led to God, there would be no need of anyone to be freed or saved.
At John 8:31-32 it is written, “So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, you really are My disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
In today’s day and age, like the Jews in the book of Exodus, we again find ourselves surrounded by people who worship other gods, or, if they worship Yahweh, the Almighty God as Christians, they have been spoon fed falsehoods mixed with truth by the Shepherds that lead them. Many are also under the impression that if they are just a good person, they will go to heaven while others, like the Jehovah’s Witnesses, believe that only a mere 144,000 will make it to heaven.
In a past blog, I wrote about how things will soon change and why our message is so important. I again find myself reiterating this because with each day that passes our message becomes more and more urgent.
Very soon, there will come a time when things will get so bad here on earth as we continue through the Tribulation, that religious communities will be turned on and houses of worship will be under attack by those turning on them. It will be then, more than ever, that the myth of all religions leading to God will rear its ugly head.
We have been given examples of how to stand steadfast in our faith in the face of adversity and those who wish to harm or kill our physical vessels (bodies). These examples extend all throughout the scriptures and not only in the New Testament. Christ, gave the more prominent example in how he suffered and died for our sins, but his disciples also went on to give examples as they were faced with floggings, jail, and eventually their own deaths for what they steadfastly believed.
That’s why it is so important to know, understand and believe with every fiber of our being that not all religions lead to God. And, when the time comes, we must stand with Father and Christ in truth and voice Christ as King even if it means the death of our physical vessels. If we do not stand firm in faith even in the threat of death, we will lose out in the hope of eternal life.

Increasing Faith in Father
How does Faith work? As a child growing up I would have said to worry constantly and say that if God wants something to happen – it will. Follow that with more worrying. This to me doesn’t hold much comfort and doesn’t show much faith or trust in God.
Upon joining the Light of Life Ministry, my faith increased beyond measure. I found that God is much more real and accessible than I could have ever imagined. I feel so much closer to Him than I thought was possible. Not only does He truly care and faithfully love every one of His children, He knows our concerns, needs, and desires before we even do. He already knows the true meaning of my subconscious thoughts I have yet to piece together.
Psalm 23 is one of my most favorite scriptures. To me it says that no matter what and no matter where, if we have that faith in Him, we are cared for so lovingly and completely. It also tells us of the great joy He bestows on us. Philippians 4 tells that if we lay our cares and worries at His feet, we will have the peace of God. And in Matthew 6 we are told flat out, not to worry about things because God does know our needs and lovingly supplies them for us when we have that faith and trust in Him. It points out that worrying never changes anything in a positive way.
I found that, through worry, I became more distant from Father with lack of faith. Then I interfered with His plans and missed the blessings. It also brought a pessimistic attitude towards every other aspect of daily life. Trying to control the things around me didn’t get me anywhere but down.
Father is omniscient and knows us so much better than we know ourselves. Therefore He also knows what is best for us on a very personal level. Most importantly, He has the perfect plan to get us those blessings. I learned it’s better to “give it to God” and wait on Him patiently - never taking it back. Father loves me so incredibly and wants me to experience His immense love, joy, and peace that only a faith-filled life can bring.
The biggest reminder for me is that I don’t have to know the things that are going to take place toward a solution. If God is taking care of it - that has to be all I need to know. Father always has a perfect unfailing plan for me and I prefer to leave the details to Him.
Although it isn’t always easy to hand a concern over completely and then wait patiently, it is always worth it.
When at first I realized that worrying about things was a habit that needed breaking, I found that focusing on the positive of day and prayers to Father in thanksgiving for what he’d done so far in my life and for that problem – there was no room anymore for worrying because being at peace was so much more fun.
PHILIPPIANS 4: 4-13 Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable— if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise— dwell on these things

Overwhelming Joy
Well, the light bulb came on today – bright as ever. It illuminated right above my head. It warmed my heart and brought tears of joy to my eyes.
It’s been an interesting week where progress reports of two very close relatives (a wonderful mother-in-law and an incredible grandfather) point to the end of their physical lives. At each step I’ve given it to Father to take care of because I already know I’m powerless in improving the health of the people I love dearly. I’m also powerless in changing the emotional state of each relative and friend. All I have to power to do is pray for God’s will and guidance in each of our lives so that we all feel his Joy and Peace throughout this adventure. His plan is what’s best in every situation. I know that and I feel that very strongly.
Something has been off though. I have had headaches and tummy aches that signal something negative has been affecting me. I learned it was sadness over watching everything progress and the feelings my relatives are experiencing. Until today I have been working through getting over that sadness. Father came through yet again!
Emotions are a choice. This is very true but mostly come across as words. Today its meaning is living and written across my heart. Sadness is as much a choice as is overwhelming joy. Sadness could come from the feeling of loss. But rather than a loss, I’m actually in the very midst of thousands of blessings.
This is an opportunity for me to grow even closer to Father – I wouldn’t miss that for the world. He is holding my “Mom” and Grandfather in the palms of his hand and working on special plans for each of them. We all know His plans are so much better than any plan I could scrape up. That gives me comfort and rest.
Father loves me so incredibly much, probably more than I could ever truly know. He sent his only son Christ Jesus to endure the most horrific pain – all so that the sins that I and others commit can be forgiven and we can have an opportunity to be with Father and Christ for eternity. There will never be a greater gift than that – ever. Every single need I’ve ever had has been met by Father in a way better than I could have imagined. He continues to provide me with what I need and special blessing on the side. I didn’t always ask but it was given to me anyway. It feels as though the most beautifully wrapped gift had been dropped in my lap for no reason. The card would read something like “I love you Elisha, more than you can ever imagine. This is for you because I care for you THAT much and more.”
How can anyone be sad when this vast amount of faithful love from Father occurs every minute of every day? How very special I feel to know that I am loved that deeply – not because I deserve it but only because Father wants me to have his care, love, protection, joy and peace.
Thank you Father for loving me even when I fail and I pray for continued guidance during this time to help me remain in rest and to be immersed in your joy and peace. Guide me, please, in comforting others. My cup truly overflows! Thank you Father. I love you very very much and am honored for your presence in my life.
